Construction Procedures Handbook
The Construction Procedures Handbook (CPH) sets out how the development is to be constructed and managed to ensure compliance with Environmental Commitments (from the Environmental Statement) and Planning Conditions (from the S.37 Planning Consent).
The objective of the procedures and methodologies detailed in the CPH is to minimise disturbance to the natural and built environment and limit, where possible, any potential impacts on tourism, historic sites and cultural heritage caused by the development.
The CPH also details agreed protection plans and mitigation measures for protected ecology and habitats which have specific requirements, and details appropriate restoration and aftercare which is to be achieved upon completion of the development.
Following a consultation period in June 2010 the first Issue of the CPH main text (Revision 1 July 2010) is now available and will be kept up to date as the development progresses. Section 2 of the CPH text details how this process will be implemented between relevant parties.
The Appendices available below are live documents which will be developed throughout the Project in conjunction with key stakeholders (ELG / TCHCLG) and landowners. They have been placed online for information purposes and SHETL are happy to receive comment on their content as the Project progresses.
Landowner issues and concerns will continue to be addressed via the dedicated SHETL Wayleave Officer.
