Langhope Rig wind farm
SSE Renewables, formerly known as Airtricity, the renewable energy development division of Scottish and Southern Energy, has consent to construct Langhope Rig Wind farm in the Scottish Borders. Construction for the site is due to commence late Summer 2010.

It is anticipated that the construction of this site will take approximately 12 - 14 months. Once complete, Langhope Rig will generate enough renewable electricity to power around 18,300 homes.
