Pairc wind farm
In 2007 our generation business, Scottish and Southern Energy Generation Ltd (SSEG), submitted an application to the Scottish Government for a 57 turbine, 205MW wind farm at Pairc on Lewis in the Western Isles.
In response to consultation feedback on this original application, we reviewed the scheme, and submitted an amended proposal in February 2009 suggesting a smaller 26 turbine, 94MW wind farm. This amended proposal is currently being considered by Scottish Ministers who are in the process of consulting with key stakeholders and gathering the information they need in order to make their determination.
