Muirpark wind farm
SSE Renewables (formerly known as Airtricity), the renewable energy development division of SSE, submitted a planning application to Stirling Council in March 2009 for a 33MW wind farm at Muirpark. The wind farm is situated 8km south west of Stirling on the lower eastern slopes of Touchadam Muir and Earl's Hill.

The submission of the application follows detailed consultation with local residents, community councils, councillors and the MSP. If approved, Muirpark wind farm could generate enough renewable electricity to power 26,200 homes a year.
