Nant y Moch wind farm
SSE is seeking planning permission to build a wind farm of between 128 and 160 megawatts (MW) in an area identified by the Welsh Assembly Government as suitable for large scale wind farm development, known as Strategic Search Area D (SSAD). The location of the proposed wind farm in mid Wales is is located to the east of the A487 between Talybont and Nant y Moch reservoir in an area of Forestry Commission Wales land and privately owned agricultural grazing land.

In June 2009 we held a number of public exhibitions within the Nant y Moch catchment area. In June 2010 we held a further series of public exhibitions to update local communities and interested parties on our plans.

Further information on the Nant y Moch wind farm proposal is available on the Nant y Moch bilingual project pages.
