There’s great news for people who want to improve their skills or maybe get a new qualification – SSE is about to invest a whopping £3 million in training for 2007/2008!
This impressive budget is designed to help staff develop their skills and to attract new talent from further afield. A significant amount of this money will be spent on external training, such as HNC’s and HND’s and the rest will be put to use developing employees’ management skills and other useful techniques that will help them progress through the company.
If neither of these forms of learning sound like your thing, you may benefit from some ‘e-learning’ which is designed to be a more flexible way to build up your skills and add to your CV.
So why the investment?
SSE is keen to show its commitment to developing its workforce and creating managers of the future, not to mention attracting new recruits to the ever-expanding SSE family.
